ABOUT US

Kolibri Kapital ASA is a Norwegian investment company founded in year 2000 by Misjonsalliansen and Korsveistiftelsen. Kolibri Kapital is funded both by individuals and organizations.

At the end of 2014 the company had 26.1 million Norwegian kroners in equity. Kolibri Kapital provides loans to microfinance institutions in developing countries and emerging economies whos focus is financial products tailored for the poor. Customers of microfinance institutions do not normally have access to the conventional banking system. Small loans help create opportunities for the customer and their family, for instance clothing for children to be able to go to school and expanding the business.

Organization

Kolibri Kapital consists of a board of seven and an administration of the CEO, senior advisor and communication advisor. The company’s board and management have many years of experience from finance, communications and humanitarian organizations.

Sindre has worked within finance in both Norway and England, including emerging markets private equity and investment banking, raising capital for small & medium sized companies. He has previously worked for Nordea, Fondsfinans, Teather & Greenwood, PwC and Orion Capital. He has an MSc in Economics & Finance from Warwick Business School and is a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW).

Is the Managing Director of Elementet AS. He also works as a consultant to several other companies as well as sitting on several boards.

Christopher Andersen

Christopher Andersen

Board Member

Is the CFO in Alliance Microfinance AS and is responsible for the financial follow-up of Mission Alliance’s microfinance institutions in South America, Asia and Africa. He has previously worked in Nordea as a Relationship Manager for larger corporate customers. He has a Masters degree in Economics and Business Administration.

Trine Sellæg Aulie

Is working as a category developer within investment products at DNB Bank. She has 12 years of experience in finance through various positions at Ferd. Was, for three years, a member of the investment committee of NMI (Norwegian Microfinance Initiative). She has a Master of Management degree from BI.

Nikolai Hegertun

Is a project manager at Civita, working with development questions. Previous worked at The Oslo Center for Peace and Human Rights and Norwegian Church Aid. He has a Masters in Peace and Conflict Studies, and a Bachelors degree in Culture- and Social Studies, and Culture and Communication.

Håkon Iversen

Founder, chairman of the board and staff member of SoCentral AS. A firm with an innovation environment for the public, private and voluntary organizations and social entrepreneurs working with development and making new and viable solutions for social challenges visible. Håkon has long experience as manager at large, complex projects within private and public companies. Educated as graduate engineer at NTH.

Working as a project broker at Clarksons Platou Project Finance. He has a Master of Science degree in Shipping, Trade and Finance from Cass Business School. He also has a Bachelor degree in International Business from Hawaii Pacific University and Pepperdine University.

Catrine Birkevold Liem

Works in Debt Capital Markets in DnB, mainly with the syndication of loans. She previously worked for DnB’s energy division with responsibility for a portfolio of major Norwegian equipment and service providers in the oil & gas industry. She has 12 years experience in exports, including as Head of Sales where she was responsible for the financing of Norwegian exports to Latin America and China. She has a business degree (Siviløkonom).

She has previously worked with national and international academic publishing, including the University Press, Scandinavian University Press, Aschehoug and Kommuneforlaget. Cand. Marianne has a long history within investments and microfinance in development countries. She has been working as a Senior Investment Manager at Norfund since 2002, and is, among others, board member at Crimson Finance Fund Albania and NMI Fund III, Norway.
